USAID Lestari, Gender Specialist, Jakarta based
Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for the
Gender Specialist, Jakarta based on our USAID LESTARI project.
USAID’s LESTARI project supports the Government of Indonesia to reduce
greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and conserve biodiversity in carbon rich
and biologically significant forest and mangrove
ecosystems.
Job Summary: s/he
serves as a technical specialist to support successful implementation of
gender integration in overall USAID LESTARI implementation. Under the
supervision of Conservation Co-Management Advisor, s/he
will work closely with relevant specialists in thematic theme Forest
& Land Use Governance and Advocacy, Conservation Co-Management and
Private Sector Engagement.
Requirements
include previous experience in a similar position for USAID project or
other international donor projects; experience in gender mainstreaming
into policies, program and process; has knowledge of gender theory
& policy and knowledge on forestry and natural resources management
is an asset; has knowledge of national and international policies on
gender mainstreaming and gender equality; has strong interpersonal skill
and teamwork; familiar with USAID procedures and
regulations; and demonstrated ability to play collegial and leadership
roles working on multi-disciplinary teams. University degree in related
field required.
